CATI/Web Interviewing
This market research firm operates for the Information Technology and
Pharmaceuticals industry clients providing extensive data collection on
a global basis. Most of the projects require interviewing across 44 countries,
in 22 languages, and Results supports this, easily storing the data in
common databases. Over recent years, web interviews have become more important,
and significant work has been done using Results Netâ
and the Bulk Email package.
Panel
Development and Management
A wide range of panels both for syndicated work and custom panels for
specific clients have been developed globally by this Results customer.
Panel development in undertaken using a telephone screen and recruit process
followed by web surveying. The panel is maintained through telephone
recruitment using Results, and a CATI approach is also taken to fill in
quotas from "hard-to-interview" cells. The same questionnaire
is administered in both CATI and the web without further programming.
"Work from Home" Telephone Interviewing
This market research firm undertakes research for the pharmaceutical industry,
and one major on-going program requires registered nurses to interview
patients of a particular type by telephone. These interviewers are professionals
where interviewing is a minor part of their overall work day. They are
widely dispersed, and few are prepared to work in the call center environment
used for most telephone interviewing. The firm has been using a beta version
of the newest version of Results CATI product for over two years, allowing "work at home"
while establishing direction through a centralized sample and interviewer
management system. Each RN logs on to the system through the Internet,
using any browser. They can call pieces of sample from the central sample
management system web site according to the quota and other parameters
set up in Results. They conduct the interviews, with the answers being
recorded in the central data files, from which project management can
view progress and interim data using the Online Reporting tools.

Interviewing
This MR firm uses the Results Netâ
product to conduct CAPI interviews. PCs with wireless modems are used
to collect data in malls and other locations. The screens are used to
display photographs and videos of products and advertisements as well
as using the complex logic associated with choice modeling. Touch screen
kiosks are being introduced to mall locations.

Surveying is our Business"
This is a specialist Health Care research firm that provides a wide variety
of panel-based services to the Health Care industry. Results is
the basis for this business and is the engine for extensive panel management
and data collection processes.

Hosting
The only business this company has is administering web surveys for its
client base. Their volumes are impressive with over 20,000 interviews
undertaken a month. The company uses Results but also uses the
RONIN Web-Hosting service. Throughout the day, surveys are downloaded to
the RONIN FTP site/server farm from which the surveys are hosted. At any
time, completed questionnaires can be retrieved from the 1by1 server farm
for analysis and incorporation into client presentations/reports.

Service
This major insurance and financial services group uses RONIN to conduct
surveys with their employees and agents. A series of these are undertaken
throughout the year, addressing the perceptions of satisfaction for a
variety of internal services, e.g., event planning, IT, etc. The questionnaires
are designed by the client team and passed to RONIN, where they are programmed,
tested, fielded using email solicitations, and the results delivered back
to the client for analysis and action.
